"Push-up" Crayon Sticks

So I thought that I came up with this idea all on my own.  It only took me 2 weeks of teaching kindergarten to get a dozen empty glue sticks.  I did the crayon sorting, paper removing, melting, pouring, and waiting to cool.  I was pretty proud of myself until I went onto pintrest and saw that I pinned this exact thing MONTHS ago.  So, let's give credit to where it is due.... http://www.infarrantlycreative.net/2007/12/wanna-be-silkies-holder.html

Now why did I do it?  Well for Miss.-2yr-old who is getting pretty good at coloring, it was all novelty.  But, for Mr.-1yr-old it is so I can start getting him comfortable with holding a crayon and maybe not eating it.  Glue sticks are perfect chunky size for little hands.  Unlike big crayons, there is only a small portion that can be eaten and it doesn't break easily.

PLUS, I scraped out all of the glue that was in the up-and-down mechanism (and I had about 2 glue sticks worth of glue).
